We want you to feel confident exploring plant medicine with us, while maintaining clear boundaries for product safety and quality.

Quality is our foundation. If you receive any product in an unacceptable condition—whether compromised quality, contamination, incorrect potency, or packaging defects—we stand behind our commitment to excellence.

We recommend opening a dialogue with us first. Contact us at thebotanicalsage@gmail.com with photos and a description of the quality concern. If we agree that the product does not meet our standards, we will send you a free replacement—no return shipping required.

Supplies and Non-Returnable Items

We do not offer refunds or returns on any apothecary supplies, tools, or equipment.

We also do not accept returns on any culinary items, sale items, or gift cards.

Mushrooms and Other Eligible Products

We offer a 30-day return window on eligible products. This means you have 30 days from the date you receive your order to request a return.

To be eligible, items must be:

  • In the same condition you received them

  • Unopened, unused, and with all original seals, tags, and packaging intact

  • Accompanied by a receipt or proof of purchase

How to Start a Return or Quality Concern

For quality issues, email us at thebotanicalsage@gmail.com with your order details, photos of the product, and a description of the issue. If we determine the product is subpar, we'll send a free replacement—no return necessary.

For standard returns, email us at thebotanicalsage@gmail.com with your order details and a brief description of the reason for the return.

If your return is accepted, we'll send you a return shipping label and instructions on how and where to send your package. Items sent back without prior authorization will not be accepted.

Damages and Issues

Please inspect your order as soon as it arrives. If an item is defective, damaged, or incorrect, contact us right away so we can review the situation and make it right.

For quality-related issues, we will typically offer a free replacement under our Quality Guarantee rather than requiring a return.

Exchanges

The fastest way to get the item you want is to complete a return for the product you have (if eligible) and, once approved, place a new order for the replacement item.

Refunds

Once we receive and inspect your return, we'll email you to confirm whether the refund is approved or denied.

If approved, we'll issue a refund to your original payment method within 10 business days.

Your bank or credit card provider may require additional time to post the refund.

If more than 15 business days have passed since your refund was approved and you haven't received it, please contact us at thebotanicalsage@gmail.com so we can follow up.
